Moderator project sees Australians debate on YouTube
Potato's YouTube app, dubbed the electionWire, launched ahead of Australia's Federal Election on August 21st, 2010. The channel aimed to encourage young internet users to discuss the key issues, sharing videos and commenting on the opinions of influential journalists.
The electionWire channel let YouTube users submit videos and debate opinions from a myriad of contributors at youtube.com/youthscape - with 14 young reporters across Australia fielding questions and ideas.
As well as videos, the app also encouraged users upload relevant articles, informing the debate across multiple mediums as the election drew near.
