getFavicon allows you to retrieve the 16x16 pixel 'favicon' that represents a website. Built on the highly scalable App Engine platform it's served billions of icons, and at any one point is caching well over 30m of them. getFavicon is open source, and is used on many high profile sites including DuckDuckGo, MediaUK, Compete and Punchfork.
