Product Lead

San Francisco Bay Area

We're currently on the lookout for talented product leads to join us as we launch groundbreaking products.

Interested in building digital products and services for some of the biggest brands on the planet? We can’t wait to hear from you!

About the role

At Potato, best in class software development and human-centred design are at the heart of everything we do. We’re a talented bunch of problem solvers who are committed to finding a better way; delivering smarter products that provide satisfying experiences and valuable outcomes for our clients and their users. Some of our clients include Google, Mozilla and the BBC.

We’ve won some of the industry’s most well-recognised creative awards such as Cannes Lions and Clios, and our people are regularly named within leagues such as the BIMA 100. In the past 12 months, more than a billion people globally have used a product created by Potato.

We also work hard to be a great employer - a place where our people are proud to work. In 2021, we were officially recognised as a Best Company to Work ForTM, named within the Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. Our US studio was also certified as a Great Place to Work in 2020.

Our Product Leads work closely with stakeholders to develop the vision and strategy as well as roadmapping and prioritizing an evolving set of opportunities and features. Working alongside designers, engineers, and coaches, you’ll be responsible for defining the desired outcomes and measuring the successful delivery against that criteria.

A Potato Product Lead builds a close working relationship with our partners to influence the product, rather than owning the product. You’ll develop a solid understanding of the product’s users through continuous discovery. You’ll also develop deep knowledge of the marketplace, competition, and future trends that might impact the product’s domain.

Although we're based in the Bay Area, remote applicants are welcome and encouraged; we're also open to both contract and permanent candidates. Our preferred timezones are (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time +/- 4 hours, and we're able to employ folks in the following countries:

Australia, Brazil, China, Denmark, Egypt, El Salvador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States (CA, DC, GA, NY, OR, UT).

Lastly, we know the data. When applying for jobs, many women and non-binary folks feel they need to meet 100% of the criteria while men usually apply after meeting about 60%. If you think you'll be a good fit, please apply. We'd love to hear from you.

And to anyone working from home: kids, pets, and other cohabitators in the background are welcome!
