We’re looking for UI/visual designers to join our team at our office in central London, designing websites, tools and apps for huge audiences. We are a part of the AKQA network and our clients include Google, YouTube, Skype and Tate.

This role will see you working as part of a friendly, expert team where the workload will sometimes be hectic, but the atmosphere is cheerful and proactive.

We want to make beautiful and engaging work, so we need people with a real affinity for all things design (typography, iconography, layout, colour - all the usuals). We’re also looking for a precise eye for detail, and the desire to really craft interesting and unique experiences for our clients.

You will be used to working on projects at all stages: participating in initial sketching brainstorms, meeting with clients, fleshing out creative concepts, crafting the experience across multiple channels and devices, and liaising with our large pool of developers to bring everything to fruition to your own exacting standards.

You should be comfortable working both to clients’ existing design systems and starting completely from scratch on brand new projects with minimal guidance.

It’s not all about making things look pretty. We are a human-centric design team, which means we want to appeal to both the head and the heart. We are looking for designers who constantly question and reassess their own work within the team to make sure they’re delivering the right kind of experience for the intended audience.

Working alongside our UX team, you'll be responsible for bringing to life the concepts we create together. While pragmatism should always be in the back of your mind, we need people who can both defend their vision, but also be open to discussion while championing both the practical and the delightful.

This is a full-time freelance role starting ASAP.
